Simon Savidge is a celebrated literary figure whose influence spans across blogging, podcasting, YouTube, and television. He launched his book blog, Savidge Reads, in 2007, and quickly built a loyal following. Expanding his reach, Simon ventured into podcasting with The Readers before joining YouTube in 2016, where Savidge Reads now boasts nearly four million views.

Simon has earned a respected place among literary juries. He’s judged notable awards such as The Guardian’s ‘Not The Booker Prize,’ Fiction Uncovered, and the Costa Book Awards (2017). He chaired the Portico Prize in 2019, was a judge for the Costa Book Awards overall winner in 2020, and contributed to the Desmond Elliott Prize in 2021. His expertise and passion for books have shaped some of the most prestigious literary recognitions.

As the literary curator for The Good Life Society, Simon curates and hosts both literary events and reading retreats. His work brings together authors and readers at festivals and bookshops across the UK, creating meaningful spaces for conversation and discovery.

On television, Simon has become a familiar face, presenting Sky Arts Live from Cheltenham Literature Festival since 2019 and hosting Sky Arts Book Club for three series. This summer, he will return to the screen for a new season of Sky Arts From Hay.
